My Crazy Life As.. An Aquarium Viewer

So my family and I went to New Orleans this year for the SBC ( Southern Baptist Convention ).. I loved it.

We walked around the French Quarter, ate beignets, all that amazing stuff.. More on that on another post!

We went to the Aquarium.. I felt like a 4 year old I was so excited..

We walked around.. Saw the parrots and penguins and ridiculous abundance of fish.. And then I saw them.

Seahorses.

I love seahorses.. I don’t know why.. Maybe because they remind me of the little cute seahorse that blows the trumpet on little mermaid.. Who knows.. But I learned you can learn a lot from little seahorses if you just read the fancy signs that no one ever really reads..

This was the first thing I saw :

And the sign said that seahorses hang onto sea grass so they won’t get washed away with the waves.. Which got me thinking..

Shouldn’t we Christians be so careful to do that? Instead of letting the waves of the world toss us around to where we may be lost and confused, we should hang on tight to Jesus in order to keep us grounded and where we need to be!

Ephesians 4:14 — Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit. 15) But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into Him who is the head–Christ.

Seahorses also carry another lesson.. This one romantic (:

Seriously though.. They stick together.. And only to the other one.. That is PRESH. I like their title too.. (:

The penguins were pretty serious about each other too…

So there are some lessons I learned from the aquarium… Love sticks together and Hang Onto Jesus  (:
